Luis Macho, DVM, DACVIM (SAIM)

Internal Medicine Specialist

Dr. Macho graduated from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. He then completed a rotating internship in Coral Springs FL, after which he returned to Cornell University for a residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine. He became board certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) after completing his residency in 2019.  Dr. Macho spent a year on the West Coast, practicing internal medicine before returning to his home state of Florida.

Dr. Macho’s special interests include: liver disease, renal disease and hematology (blood disorders). He lives with his wife Laura (a long-time veterinary nurse) and his giant dog Lenny. Dr. Macho and his wife are avid birders, and love spending time outdoors when the heat allows it.
