Taelor Aasen, DVM

Emergency Doctor

Dr. Aasen is an enthusiastic emergency and critical care veterinarian who is passionate about people and their pets. She is a 2023 University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine graduate. Her passion for all things emergency started during her time as an emergency veterinary technician, prior to starting vet school. This passion continued to be fostered during her education at UF CVM where she was recognized with the VECCS Proficiency in Emergency and Critical Care award in 2023. Dr. Aasen’s commitment to her interests in ECC allowed her to pursue a short-term position as an emergency and critical care specialty intern at UF CVM followed by a full-time position as an emergency vet at a 24hr specialty and emergency hospital in South Florida.

She prides herself on being a compassionate and approachable professional. Dr. Aasen is dedicated to continuously preserving the bond between humans and pets by guiding and supporting families through the challenging moments of acute illness, trauma, and sudden health challenges. Dr. Aasen understands that emergencies are stressful and emotional moments for pet owners, and she prioritizes providing clear and empathetic communication to families during these situations. Her mission throughout her career is to not only mend the furry family members of her community but also provide educational opportunities for clients, communities, and colleagues.
