Brooke Newmans, DVM, DACVECC

Critical Care Specialist

Dr. Newmans earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the University of Florida in 2021 — Go Gators! After veterinary school, she completed a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the University of Georgia.

Driven by a strong interest in emergency and critical care, she went on to pursue a three-year residency at the University of Pennsylvania. There, she received comprehensive, hands-on training in managing complex and life-threatening conditions, including trauma, sepsis, respiratory distress, and post-operative critical care. In 2025, she became board-certified in Emergency and Critical Care through the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ACVECC), a distinction earned by just over 1,000 veterinarians worldwide.

Dr. Newmans is excited to settle near the ocean in her home state of Florida and continue her return to her work in veterinary medicine. Her clinical interests include sepsis, the care of critically unstable patients, and—above all—providing compassionate support to animals and their families during some of their most challenging times.
